Earlier this month we had one of these scams sent to us for the Frigair Exhibition which we run on behalf of SA Institute of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (SAIRAC).

We have now received an email for our own exhibition PlumbDrain and this is being sent to a list of recipients, using registered titles – not from ourselves as the rightful owners of the visitor list.

This bunch clearly trolls all the exhibitions. We are placing this warning on all our industry platforms, as the list is not a true visitor list, and which neither IMD nor Specialised Exhibitions would provide to anyone.

Needless to say, we have responded to them, advising them of their transgressions, but have received no response.

If this were not so serious, the funny side is that PlumbDrain 2020 did not happen, and both exhibitions IMD is involved in have been postponed to 2022.
