Inventor speaks at Stanford

Moladi was honoured to have the CEO and Inventor of moladi invited to address the American Society of Civil Engineers at Stanford University on the 24 February.

Hennie Botes, having seen the shortcomings of traditional brick and mortar construction and the dependence on skilled labour, patented the re-usable lightweight injection moulded plastic formwork.

He implemented the Henry Ford automotive assembly line principal to streamline mass housing production by managing the supply chain. This strategy resulted in affordable homes being produced more economically and at a faster rate. A perfect solution to address the global housing and unemployment crisis.

“We can fight poverty, unemployment and associated social ills like crime through housing.

“And we need to begin by establishing community-based co-operatives and empower people to help themselves.”
