Bearings and power transmission distributor Bearings International (BI) has announced that Hilton Woest has been promoted to Couplings product manager, reporting directly to BI business unit head Ross Trevelyan at the Parkhaven head office.

Boasting years’ experience in the industry, Woest worked 17 years for PS Transmission Centre as works manager before joining BI in 2012. His responsibilities included cost estimating for sales and manufacture; engineering design using computer-aided design (CAD) technology; compiling parts lists and material requirements; purchasing and procurement; and production planning and expediting.

Trevelyan says that Woest will add, “a much-needed dynamic to the product manager team. We wish him all the best in his new role and look forward to the positive changes he will bring.” Woest adds that he looks forward to the new challenge presented by his promotion.

“I perform well under pressure, am able to communicate at all levels, and am excellent at multi-tasking and maintaining good customer relationships,” Woest points out who has a proven sales record and excellent product knowledge, in addition to leadership skills.
