The South African Institute of Valuers (SAIV) has announced the date for the 2021 SAIV National AGM and Seminar. Built environment professionals and stakeholders from across the country will spend the day in KwaZulu-Natal on Thursday, 22 April at the Capital Pearls in Umhlanga. The theme for the event is ‘Property Development Projects in Uncertain Times; Wait or Adapt?’

Tracey Myers, President of the SAIV states, “This year’s AGM and Seminar will be hosted as an in-person event, having been held online in 2020. The event promises to be thought-provoking and interactive with a great line-up of speakers representing a cross-section of organisations in the Built Environment.”

Speakers include Michael Clampett, Head of Asset and Property at Attacq Limited. Michael’s current responsibilities are to maintain and grow the company’s retail real estate assets through management processes, deal making and innovation.

Gavin Strydom, CEO of Edstand Group, who has contributed extensively to the construction industry by serving in various capacities. He is a former president of the KwaZulu-Natal Master Builders Association, former chairperson for the Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA), board member of Construction Industry Development (CIDB) and chairperson of the Building Standards Generating Body (SGB).

Kyra Rautenbach, Head of Sustainability at Attacq Limited, is responsible for the ‘E’ of her company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy, climate change strategy, environmental and biodiversity enhancement within a world-class property portfolio from a building to a city level.

Rainmaker Marketing managing director, Stefan Botha, is committed to re-defining the scope of property development research and marketing throughout Southern Africa, while also strengthening a business that is synonymous with innovation, skilled resources, collaboration, and long-standing client relationships.

Finally, Attacq Limited Senior Development Manager, Thomas Fuller completes the speaker line-up. Thomas invests in and develops high-quality real estate assets as long-term investments that generate quality rental income and sustainable capital growth for investors.

The closing date for registrations is 19 April. The SAIV has encouraged prospective attendees to book their seats in order not to miss the deadline.
