The contract of the SHRA Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr Rory Gallocher, terminated on 31 January 2021.

The SHRA Council has resolved to commence with the recruitment process of the SHRA CEO, with the hope of finalising same at the end of the first quarter of the new financial year.
Ms Mpolai Nkopane has been appointed to act in the position of the CEO with immediate effect, for a period of three (3) months. If the recruitment process is not finalised after three (3) months, Council will advise on the extension of the acting arrangements.
Ms Mpolai Nkopane has the full support of the SHRA and will continue with leading the organisation in the implementation of the Social Housing Programme, under the Department of Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation.
